About the Role:
We are experiencing significant growth in Confluent’s Cloud Solutions across Asia Pacific and Japan. In 2024 our cloud business has outpaced the growth rates on our on-prem platform business and this trend is increasing. Confluent’s solution for hybrid and multi-cloud architectures helps organizations accelerate development velocity, realize the benefits of the cloud faster, and deliver a new class of real-time applications that power rich, frontend customer experiences and efficient, backend operations. We are seeking a strategic and results-driven CSP Business Leader to spearhead our initiatives in this critical region. This individual contributor role is essential for shaping our cloud GTM strategy while ensuring alignment with global objectives and regional market dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud solutions providers and cloud based data and integration solutions. Additionally, they would bring exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to forge trusted partnerships with industry leaders such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. This role reports to the Asia Pacific and Japan leader of the Partner Innovation Ecosystem.
What You Will Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Craft and implement a robust APAC wide Cloud strategy that enables driving significant business growth and operational excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with cloud providers, cloud data and integration leads, and C-level executives at CSP’s. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, solution architects, and support, to position Confluent’s solutions for transformational projects.
- Partnership Development: Establish and nurture trusted relationships with CSP’s leveraging them to enhance Confluent’s offerings and unlock collaborative opportunities.
- Technical Expertise: Stay at the forefront of industry trends in data streaming, AI, and cloud technologies. Provide thought leadership and guidance to technical and business stakeholders within CSP’s.
- Pipeline Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, creating a robust pipeline of joint projects with CSP’s, GSI’s and RSI partners through proactive engagement. Work closely with sales and marketing teams to strategize for acquiring new clients, expanding use cases, and driving revenue growth.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the success of partnership initiatives and overall business impact.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience managing GSI partnerships, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role covering the Asia Pacific region.
- Deep understanding of data and integration technologies, methodologies, data streaming platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven track record in driving APAC-wide engagement and go-to-market (GTM) strategies that support high-growth businesses and deliver outstanding results.
- A proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for championing the partner ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
